Kimberlie has always had a passion for wanting to make a difference in the Iives of people. Even since her teens when she had the desire to one day become a social worker or psychologist. Outside of her career, much of her time has been allocated to participating in various volunteer opportunities or church ministries that are actively making a difference in the lives of individuals. Kim has a passion for others and is able to provide a safe and nonjudgemental attitude for her clients. She works with her clients as a team effort, helping them to reach their desired goals.
Professionally, Kim has almost 25 years of experience working in the field of mental health. Eighteen of those years has been directly working with individuals, couples and groups providing psychotherapy. She has extensive training in Trauma, grief, addictions, co-occuring disorders and self sabotaging behaviors. She sees individuals ages 12 and up, as well as provides couples counseling. She has training in providing Christian therapy for individuals who specifically request it. She also provides Driver’s License Assessments for those who are attempting to get their License back.
Kim graduated in 2001 from Oakland University with her Masters in Counseling. She then went on to complete another year at Oakland University which provided her with advanced training in Mental health issues. She obtained a certification in Trauma and Loss through The National Institute of Trauma and Loss. In 2007 she completed a highly competitive two year program at Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute providing her with skills in advance theory and interventions in psychodynamic therapy.
