Christina is a fully licensed professional counselor who has experience with adolescents and adults through a variety of life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, social difficulties, and self-esteem. Christina uses an eclectic blend of therapeutic approaches in assisting her clients, such as cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and person-centered therapy. Christina believes that the therapeutic process is a partnership between a client and a therapist and that every person can benefit from therapy. She is insistent on being honest, genuine and supportive with clients, all to help them achieve their goals.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Michigan University, Christina went on to receive her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in mental health counseling. While pursuing her master’s, Christina gained experience in a community mental health setting while working with high-risk youth and families. She previously worked with Hegira Programs, Inc. as a therapist, and is involved with The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
