Sydney has her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University and is a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist. Her therapeutic focus includes working with children, adolescents, and adults that are struggling with anxiety, depression, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as administering psychological evaluations and assessments. She also has experience in behavioral therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Sydney employs an integrative approach to therapy to meet each client's needs and create a warm environment to foster feelings of acceptance. Sydney chose her profession based on her own previous experiences with therapy. She is familiar on a personal level with the struggles and rewards of therapy, which often helps relate to clients on a down-to-earth basis. While she likes taking a structured approach to therapy, she is also highly focused on her clients' individual goals and needs. Sydney believes therapy should be an open environment where clients can express themselves freely and without judgment.
